TWO PLAYERS
TWO PLAYER GAME
TO START
The MatchShot board, known as the ‘box’ is set up 12’ from where players will toss the bean bag balls, known as “sacks”.
To see who throws first: each player in One v One toss all 4 sacks toward the holes in the box. In Two vs Two one member for each team tosses all four sacks. The player or team member who scores the most total points will throw first. If playing with two, three or four teams of TWO then one player from each team throws all four sacks to see who would go second, third or fourth.

Each player gets four sacks. Once a player throwing “first” is established…that player (known as Player One) stands 12’ from the box. Player One will toss all four sacks one at a time attempting to accrue as many points as possible. Players can throw underhand, over the top or any other way a player chooses. Please note: Once the sack is released from the player it can not hit anything other than the box to score points. If the sack is bounced off a wall or the floor or anything else other than the box that toss is considered disqualified.
Please Note : In One vs One play, sacks from player One are left in the holes…any sacks remaining on the surface of the box are removed so player Two can throw all four sacks.
-
Once Player One is finished throwing all four sacks it is Player Two’s turn to toss all four sacks one at a time.
-
In One v One player Two’s objective is to “Match” each throw into a hole that Player One did. Example: Player One tossed one sack into the middle for one point and two sacks into the back right corner for four points. Player One has the ability to score 5 points for the round…depending on what Player Two does.

Player Two is now trying to Match exactly what Player One did. By matching the same hole as player One…player Two BLOCKS the points player One could have scored. Per the example If Player Two tosses a sack in the middle hole for one point, then Player One does not get that point. If Player Two tosses a sack into the back right corner hole, it blocks Player One from getting two points. If Player Two is unable to toss another sack into the back right corner with the remaining two sacks then Player One receives two points for the round.
